Haenyos are women who train since when they are young to become collectors in the sea. A Haenyos' main job is to collect seashells and abalones. They live near the sea and go to  Haenyo school. The Haenyos are usually women  because girls have better lung systems. Visitors can take lessons at one of the Haenyo schools, but it takes many years to master the skill.
