Legend of Seolmundae

A long time ago, there were 500 generals who were Seolmundae Gandma’s sons and they usually hunted in Halla Mountain.

However, the eldest brother got angry because the arrows didn’t work well as he thought, therefore he shot arrow at the air because he wanted to release his anger by that! But that arrow went into theJade Emperor’s flank. He got very mad and he went to the summit of the Mt. Halla and took out a huge rock and threw it, and the place where the rock stayed was Baekrokdam. Also, the rock that falls down to the back of the Sagyeri village became the Sanbang Mountain.
